Volunteer and Grant Opportunity - Keep Cobb Beautiful

Keep Cobb Beautiful has a great opportunity for high school junior, senior or college undergraduate students to explore the benefits of working with a non-profit organization to educate, beautify and improve the environment. The Associate Board Member program gives students hands-on experience in implementing programming, hosting events and assisting volunteers to impact Cobb County. Beginning this year, qualifying high school seniors or college Associate Board members will have the opportunity to apply for college grants.

As an Associate Board member students will be eligible to sit on various KCB committees, help organize and run KCB events and represent the organization at luncheons, receptions and award ceremonies. Associate Board Members will have moderate authority and assist with outreach to local civic groups and schools. These are just many of the exciting opportunities that the position provides in addition to being an excellent highlight on your resume.

Applications for the program are available online now, with new appointees beginning in September. The positions run for the school calendar year.

Deadline for applications submittals is Friday, Sept. 4. For more information and the application, visit http://kcb.cobbcountyga.gov/.
